Facts about me
I am from: Pennsylvania
Birthday: March 12, 1950
Marital status: Married, 33 years
My passions
What you'll find on my bookshelf:
The Bible; Historical Fiction; Poetry; "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" by Richard Carlson.
My pet peeves are:
People who are always late. It is like they are saying that their time is more important than other peoples' time.
In my spare time I like to:
I enjoy reading, computers, knitting, counted cross-stitch, golfing, hiking and riding my bicycle.
My animal companion(s):
I have a dog and two parrots. "Jake" is a Golden Retriever - a real handful. Also, I have "Mr. Magoo", a 19 year old Amazon Parrot who is certain he is a dog. "Ruthie" is a 17 year old African Grey parrot who is a very talented talker. She's great fun to be around.
My dreams and aspirations
The one person I'd like to spend an hour with:
Besides the obvious -- Jesus Christ -- I would have loved to spent an hour with Abraham Lincoln. He had such strength of character. He was the force that kept this country united during its darkest days. Besides being a very intelligent and wise man, he was quite a wit. I think he would be fascinating company.
If I had one wish it would be:
I would wish that people would treat others the way they wanted to be treated. If everyone followed the Golden Rule, many of the world's problems would be no more. Then we could unite and solve the health problems, enviromental problems, etc.
The dreams I've realized in my life are:
I have a very happy marriage, and have a lovely home. I was able to go to college and become a Court Reporter.
My future outlook:
I was a Court Reporter for many years and am now retired. I'm looking forward to many fun-filled years of retirement.
Words I live by:
Aim for the stars and maybe you'll reach the sky.
Personal Challenges I face:
My husband and I may be moving to another part of the country once he retires. I hope that God will direct our steps so that we land where we are supposed to be.
